Yoga Classes

If you want to increase your flexibility, strength, and balance, there are two unique yoga classes to choose from: Tuesday mornings from 10 -11AM, join us for Yoga Foundations, an introduction to the primary poses that form the foundation of a complete, flowing yoga practice. Yoga mat required.

On Thursdays, from 10-11, consider joining Chair Yoga Class,  a gentler form of yoga done using the support of a chair. These exercises will help to improve the range of motion in all your joints, increase your overall strength and improve your balance.

All classes will be held in the Church Courtyard or Fellowship Hall and are taught by Sandra Price, an experienced yoga practitioner, RYT200  and Certified Chair Yoga Instructor. Donations for class participation are greatly appreciated. For more information or to register, contact Sandra at: prisandra@gmail.com.

The Revelation to John

Beginning in January 2020 we will be looking in depth at the Revelation to John.

The book of Revelation begins with the words; “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond servants, the things which must shortly take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond servant John” (Rev 1:1)

Over the course of this study we will be examining the things which took place shortly after the writing of the writing so as to understand the context. As it says in Rev 1:3 “blessed is he who reads and understands” “for the time is near.” Does the book of Revelation predict events more than 2000 years later? Join us on Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM beginning on January 7, 2020.

Church Growth Study

On Wednesday afternoons we will be looking at the role of the church in the neighborhood setting.

How does the 21st century church minister to those who live nearby? We are using as a text “Neighborhood Church: Transforming Your Congregation into a Powerhouse for Mission” by Krin Van Tatenhove and Bob Mueller.

Join us on Wednesdays at 6:30 in the Living Room beginning on January 8, 2019.

Presbyterian Theology

On Thursday evenings we will be diving into what makes the Presbyterian Church unique. We will be looking at the history and theology of Presbyterianism since the Reformation.

We will be using as our text “Being Presbyterian in the Bible Belt” by Ted Foote Jr. & P. Alex Thornburg. We will meet at 4PM on Thursday evenings in the living room beginning January 9, 2020.
